Growing the sport in Aotearoa

Skipping New Zealand is an incorporated society and the national sporting organisation for skipping and jump rope in Aotearoa. We are a member of the International Jump Rope Union (IJRU) and work in collaboration with Skipping Australia to grow competitive skipping across New Zealand.

We support the development of the sport, from people learning to skip and joining local skipping clubs through to competitive skippers representing New Zealand at national and international jump rope competitions.

New Zealand’s 2027 World Championship qualifiers

Following the Queensland State Championships in Brisbane, held 14–16 June 2026, four New Zealand skippers qualified for the 2027 Junior World Championships and World Championships.
